I've had my ASUS P4P800-e Deluxe for over a year, without any problem (except for a "CPU Failed To Pass System Test" problem that randomly fixed itself).

Today it said Overclocking Failed.. even though I didn't overclock :p. Well, it works now, beucase it asked me to Load Setup Defaults so i did. Just wondering why it would say this randomly.

Something is either wrong with the board or the cpu. If they are still under warranty I would RMA them, first the motherboard, if that dont fix it then RMA the CPU.

:) pentium guy is a wise man...though i hope hes not employed at a nuclear power plant.
@topic: its not that much of a problem if it happens just one time. if ur board cant remember its settings over and over again, then it may be defect or the battery needs to be replaced or the bios chip is dying...etc. btw I can reproduce this error by doing hard power down, eg turning off PSU.

I would say that either the battery is low and losing BIOS settings or more than likely a BIOS update will fix it. I had the same mobo and it did it to me once or twice. A BIOS update fixed it.
