Overclocking Duron 1GHz on ECS K7S5A?

I would like to run a 1 GHz duron on the ECS K7S5A at 133 MHz FSB, but I don't really expect the CPU to run at 1.33 GHz (though this would be nice). This will therefore require a multiplier reduction, which cannot be done from the K7S5A BIOS. With the 1 GHz T-bird, one should be able to reduce the multiplier to 9 or 8 by closing the appropriate L6 bridge using the "pencil trick", but the pictures of the 1GHz duron seem to show all of the L6 bridges closed, rather than all but one of them open like a 1 GHz thunderbird. How would one reduce the multiplier on the duron?

I have the K7AMA board which is fairly close to the K75SA - with the later versions of the BIOS you should have the option to auto detect pci/dimm clock function in CMOS Setup Menu - basically you can change the front side bus speed.

I've upped my FSB speed from 133 to 146 which forces my Athlon 1.4 to run at 1.53 - its perfectly stable.

Perhaps someone with the K75SA can advise which version of the BIOS you need for that particular board?

There IS a hacked(unofficial) oc bios available for the K7S5A, where u can change your fsb and mult. Cant remember where though - search.
