Is their a Core 2 Duo overclocking guide? I've seen the A64 and x2 ones.

My question is, i've heard that the pci should be lockdowned, but at what speed? Anything else I should know before I intend to overclock my 6600?

I'd head over to XS & find the thread relating to your mobo first.

There are usually a number of settings that must be changed for OCing to werk ideally for each C2D.

What is XS and is 100 a "safe pci-e" or does everyone do 100?

Should I just increase the fsb little by little after everything is locked down?

Yes, 100 Mhz is the default PCI-E slot speed. XS is Xtremesytems and when you start overclocking, start out by going at least 400 mhz over stock speed, then less with each "jump".
