I have an athlon thunderbird (asus a7v) with 700mhz. My CPU temperature is aproximately 55 C. Is it a good temperature? Would it be too risky to overclock it at 800Mhz with this temperature? I need help please.

Overclocking it shoud be no prob depending on what kind of cooling you aqre using. You will also need to "unlock" it if you want to up the multiplier...

That is a regular temp. You need good gooling to overclock it such as a Taisol CGK or a fop32.
