Overclocking aside, will current Nforce 2 mobos support the forthcoming AMD 400Mhz FSB CPU's?

Just wondering if theyll support it out of the box, havent seen any details on it so was curious. I know Nforce 2 overclocks to 400Mhz FSB but...

In the new BIOS released for my 8RDA+ (Epox NForce2), a 200MHz (400MHz effectively) FSB is an option for anyone, not just for overclocking.

Some boards will need a BIOS update but all should.

so then "technically" each one of them has to be able to run at 200mhz

but we know sometimes thats not the case...
maybe new bios will put more voltage to vdd without user knowing it?

seems logical

...either that, or free "upgrades" for all who can prove they ahve a 400mhz fsb cpu (not overclocked lol) to future revisions
heh

If it is a hardware limitation, no BIOS update in the world can increase voltage to the Northbridge. As it stands now, there are many users that have to voltage mod the mobo to hit 200+MHz FSB. This includes the ABIT NF7-S v1.2.
