First off my system specs:
CPU: Intel P4 2400MHz @ 3000MHz
Motherboard: Abit AI7
Memory: 2000 MB of OCZ 2X1Gig OCZ Performance PC3500 1:1 ratio, 2.9V
Video Card: ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB ATI Radeon 9800 Pro
Hard Drive: Two Maxtor 250GB sATA RAID drives. 500.0 GB @ 7200 RPMS
Additional Hard Drives: 200GB Seagate 8MB buffer, 7200rpm.
Monitor: Envision 17" CRT.
CDROM Manufacturer & Model: None
DVD Manufacturer & Model: Liteon LTD163D
DVD R/W: Liteon 16X DVDRW
Storage Interface: IDE,SATA,SATA-RAID,USB,USB2,FIREWIRE
Sound Card: SoundBlaster Audigy 2 modded to Audigy 4 Pro.
Speakers: Logitech X-530 5.1 system.
Internet Connection: SBC Global DSL. xDSL @ 1.3 Mbit
Operating System: Windows XP Professional.
Other Components: Hauppauge WinTV Model 401 stereo.

Now I have read many places that people have speculated that the Intel Sata controller on the board can hinder the overclock. If this is so, will using the PCI addon card with the Silicon Image chipset helps the overclock better? Since I am running RAID0, switch RAID controller chipset would require formatting and reinstallation.
Any one has a solution or an answer to this? Or if you have a confirmation due to experience then I can just switch back to pATA drives.

Thanks.
