Overclocking and Memory

I feel like a complete moron right now casue I'm having a hard time understanding DDR memory. I don;t under stand teh difference between CAS2 and CAS2.5, I sort of undertstand the PC2100,PC2700,PC3200 ... but still not really. How does this all affect overclocking? Can someone please explain me the dynamics of DDR memory or point me in the right direction to read about it? I'm used to just sticking to PC133 memory but I'm gonna upgrade soon and want to get my details straight before I make any decisions.

Thanks.

Check out this thread. How this all affects oc'ing depends on the fsb speed and memory timings. Generally, the lower (faster) the timings, the better the performance. And on the flip side, the higher the timings, the more overclock room you gain (more chance you have of getting your system stable at the top end of your overclocking range).

HTH! 🙂
