Overclocking and Dual Processors

Hello All. I am interested in buying a low-price motherboard and processor for some overclocking experimentation with some buddies. What motherboard(s) are recommended for easy overclocking, and what processors (if any) are unlocked and overclock-able for a pseudo-average user?

Also, I've heard rumors that there are motherboards that support dual Athlon XP processors. Is this true, or have I been duped again?

Thank's for hearing me out.

The Tyan MPX and Asus A7M266-D both support dual XP processors, but the XP chips must be SMP unlocked. In order to be SMP unlocked the two outermost L5 bridges of the chip must be uncut. Most of the early XP chips are SMP unlocked, but recently AMD has been cutting the L5 bridges to disable the XP chips running in dual. I recently (1.5 months ago) purchased a retail XP1800+ from NewEgg and it was SMP unlocked. I am now running Dual XP1800+ on an Asus A7M266-D.

As for good overclocking boards, look into the Abit Kr7 and the Iwill XP333.

They can be unlocked using the same methods as unlocking the multiplier on an XP processor.
