Overclocking and DDR2 RAM Timings

I'm a bit lost and hope someone out there could give me some insight on this. I OC'ed my X2 6000+ yesterday to 3.3GHz and knocked my RAM settings to AUTO in the BIOS just to take it out of the equation. Running at stock clocks on the CPU, I manually had my RAM at 4-4-4-12 2T (2.2v). Since I set it to AUTO to overclock, my settings are now 5-5-5-16.

Do I really need to try and tighten my timings back up or are those timings acceptable for good performance. Also, what's the deal with the command rate on DDR2? My old DDR in my 939 rig had no problem running at 1T. When I try and set this DDR2 to 1T I'm not even able to boot.

The memory I'm running is 2x1Gb of Patriot Extreme Performance with advertised timings of 4-4-4-12 although I had to up the voltage to get that.

MOD: Please move this to the CPU and Overclocking forum. Posted in wrong forum.

Need some additional information here:

What bus speed are you running your oc at?
What is your HTT set at?
Are you using a divider for your memory, or 1:1?

It was unstable after a while in Orthos at 3.3GHz so I knocked it down to 3.210. Here's all my settings:
Everest

I tightened my RAM timings up to 5-4-4-12 but it threw up errors in the Orthos blend test. I haven't had a chance to fiddle with it since early this morning. Any suggestions are welcome.

I would drop the HTT down to 4 and throw the memory on the 166 divider for the time being. From here you could use clockgen while Orthos is running to see what the cpu can reach.
