overclocking an athlon

Ok, I need everyone's opinion. I have to decide between a 200fsb athlon which I will attempt to run at 266fsb, or get what could be a much higher priced 266fsb athlon (both 1.0 ghz). Have there been a lot of problems with people connecting the L1 bridges to change the multiplier, or any other issues (such as connecting them well with electrical ink, and still not being able to change multiplier)? LMK. Thanks.

I have NO problems connection the L1 bridges to unlock my T-bird... I used a mechanical pencil and it worked the first time I tried it... it's been running over 2 weeks and I still dont have to redo them...

Conductive paint is more reliable in the long run.

The only problems people tend to have is if the bridges aren't connected properly in the 1st place

Well...i had to pencil mine 4 times before i got it to work...if you decide to do some serious long term oc'ing...i would recommend using the locitite or conductive pen/paint method...

i'll eventual get around to doing that as soon as my pencil fails me...i'm too lazy at this point...

hehe..forgot...my opinion...i think the 200fsb tbirds are good enough...i have no experience with them...but the 266 cost a lot more don't they? is it really worth it?

the 200fsb variety seem to be nonproblematic at 266fsb so save some cash & get the 200fsb!
