Overclocking an Athlon Slot A

Dear everyone,

looking to even further my system. ASUS K7M MOBO with a Slot A - AMD Athlon 650 overclocked to 733 Mhz. I did this with PC100 Ram (all other ram seems unstable in the system) and the jumper setting on the board.

Any other thought on how I could push this further, or is this pretty much all I can do?

Thanks

Need a gfd to adjust the multiplier. Use the search funtion on the forums and you'll find all you need.

To expand on what Tonec says....

A gfd is a Gold Finger Device ,which is basically a little add on PCB which you plug into the top of your cpu ,this little device allows you to alter the cpu mutliplier ,some cards also have other abilities.
BTW a 650 should be able to go much higher than 733 MHz 🙂

I got my old 550 to 807. My max overclock on it was 864. With better cooling, I'm sure I could have made 900. If you have a week 52 or so, it might have a 750 core. I bet you hit 850 with a GFD.
