Have a DFI Lan Party NF2 Ultra mobo and AMD 2600 T bird running at 2088 mhz. 2 512 pc2700 DDR ram dual channel.
will this CPU allow me to change voltages and multipliers in the bios, and if so what would they be set at for a stable system? (I would like to grab about 400 mhz) Also, should I change settings of the ram (Matched Samsung)at the same time and what would those settings be?

sorry ..

why don't you reboot, go into bios and check if the volates and multipliers are changable. if you're gonna oc, you might as well as explore the options you have inbios.

maybe your PC2700 can handle PC3200 speeds .. it's all worth a try.

First, I'm really not sure if this cpu will even allow ocing. This mobo has optimal, aggressive, turbo, and manual settings,I.E anything you want for both cpu,and ram. I am unwilling at this time to risk destroying the cpu by
physically changing bridges. It would take me most of an afternoon to slowly inch my way up, IF it was possible,(call me lazy).I was just wondering if anyone out there was familiar with my cpu and ram,and knew of a sweet spot.

I know of the sweet spot for that cpu and ram. It's 333mhz fsb, since you don't want to find out what it will actually do... Why do people ask questions like this?

If your RAM, motherboard and processor can handle it, run the CPU at 200x10.5 (2.1GHz). It's fairly close to stock speeds and should give a bit of a boost due to the slightly higher (17 MHz) clock speed and memory bandwidth.

I do indeed want to find out what it will actually do, BUT from someone who has experience!!! from someone who owns,or did my cpu,and or ram.someone who can say "Runz, you gotta locked cpu give it up dude" ,OR someone who can say, hey, I found success at this FSB,This voltage, this multiplier, this ram setting. Theres gotta be someone out there. Perhaps I'm not so lazy and will try on my own, Gosh I so hate being the first!

Ok, first your CPU is a Tbred not Tbird. Second I have overclocked a 2600+ Tbred on an A7N8X Deluxe and an NF7-S. Voltages can't really be predicted, you just have to see what works.
EDIT: Third, [rant] DON'T JAM ON THE ENTER KEY, YOU JUST END UP LEAVING A HUGE FREAKIN GAP BETWEEN YOUR POST AND THE ONE BELOW IT. [/rant]

Because I are stupid,I'm only able to respond to M.D.E ; sounds reasonable sir, will try that setting and report back, will also try to go more and let you know,Should I up the ram settings at the same time? or wait to find a stable cpu first? BTW happy New Yearz!
