Ok, that is my system there. I also have a Maxtor 40gig 7200rpm, and 40.9gig 5400rpm hard drive. My future upgrades to the system are as follows: ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon 32mb DDR, and Creative Labs SoundBlaster Live Platinum 5.1 sound card. I am currently running on-board audio. I want to overclock the CPU, this is not the axia version, and the CPU is not locked. On the a7a266 motherboard there is a way to manipulate certain pins through soldering to allow the multiple to be adjusted. I don't know how to do that, and I would like to know if anyone out there knows how to do it. And if so once it were done, what would be the best way to achieve the greatest CPU+FSB speed with the best stability. If anyone could help me out with this issue, I would be very great full. Thanx in advance, for your help.

Hmmm...first...I would recommend getting a Hercules Game Theatre XP, Turtle Beach Santa Cruz, or a Philips Acoustic Edge. These cards are supposedly supperior (and A LOT cheaper) than the SB Live Platinum.

As for the soldering...the process is very similar to doing it on a A7V board. Check the anandtech site, www.overclockers.com, and tom's hardware for guides to doing this.

But, there is a MUCH easier solution. You can buy a "golden socket" kind of device--plugs into the socket, CPU into the golden thing, and you can manipulate the multiplier that way. Read this thread for more info

hope that helps ya,
