Hey guys. Just got my new system:

Athlon 64 3000+
MSI K8T Neo FIS2R
Mushkin level one pc-3500 512mbx2

I overclocked from 2.0ghz to 2.2 using the MSI Core Center utility in windows. It doesnt reboot, but the comp does not remain stable after a little gaming, and crashes. I am a noob overclocker, so can anyone suggest any voltage or timing changes, or anything that would enable me to keep it at 2.2ghz stable? I'm thinking maybe upping RAM voltage might help?

Thanks guys

up the core voltage a bit (like .05-.1 V or so.) Watch your temps (using MBM or similar), make sure it doesn't get much above 50C load. If you're a noob overclocker, I wouldn't go above 1.7 V

That board doe snot have a agp/pci lock so it could be your video card or something else that doe snot like that clock speed. Try putting your Video card at 4X speed (if it is a 8X card) and/or taking any PCI cards out if you have any.

Try setting it at 210 first.. Then go up if it works

I attempt to use Core Center last night. Clocked the FSB to 233; comp immediately crashed and got stuck in a rebooting loop (error was: Windows is restarting to prevent hardware failure.)

I had to format to get rid of Core Center. Everything is at stock now, guess I'll try 201 tonight.
