I just purchased the following workstation
Board Z8NA -D6C
2X Intel e 5530 Xenon 2.4 ghz
OCZ gold Tri Channel PC 12800 2 GB x 3 x 2 = 12gb Ram
3Ware 9650 SE 2LP INT Sata II RAID controller
2x WD 1 TB Green 1002 FBYS Running Raid 1
Looking to seriously overclock the machine but after reading the manual I have no idea of what to do. The BIOS does talk about increasing voltage or anything like that only ignoring the default but I see no way to increase the voltage.
Increasing the RPMS of the fans on the machine to 8400m reduces the temp by 10C beleive it or not so there is some power in those stock coolers.
Does anybody have any experience in overclocking this system . It is very important to me as we are doing some heavy number crunching and we would like to get the most out of it. I will even go to cryogenics if need be but first I need to increase the voltage????
