Overclocking a TB 900

I've built my new system and it's been up and running without a hitch for about 2 weeks. So I've started to think about overclocking (processor and video card). Part of me doesnt want to mess with a good thing, since I'm an average user, and maybe twice a week play quake III. But, if I DID want to overclock my 900 safely, how high should I go - 1000? Should i use multiplier, FSB or both. I know it depends on the individual processor, just wanted some feedback, even if it is to leave the dang thing be.

hmm... go as high as you can, but try to keep the temps in there low... you'll be safe

If you looked around the web for, lets say 10 seconds, You'd find about 100000000000 articles about ocing an amd cpu. Just go see. As for your question, Leave it alone if thats all you play its not worth the hassle and its not even challeging like it used too be so theirs really no satifaction to be gained unless your selfesteem is in the crapper. But then youd probably feel good about getting that lid on that 44oz you bought at the gas station.

On a serious note. Id go into bios and up the fsb to maybe 110. If it wont run try 105. This will give your mem and cpu a boost.Its not mentioned as much as cpu ocing but still show good performance and fps gain without the hassle. It a good place to start your ocing. Also look for those ocing guides tell yu everything you want to know and then some

i would start with changing the multiplier ... one by one and changing voltage to compensate...unless you have a kt133A ... fsb is very limited.

but .. is this a duron / tbird or pIII/IIII?
