Overclocking a T-Bird - 144++???

How are some of you guys getting FSB speeds of 140+? I currently have 2 durons and a 1 ghz Bird, and none will do over 104 FSB at the default or high multiplier. Are most of you guys lowering the mult to try and push up the bus speed? Just curious as to how in the hell some people are getting so far up there in FSB speed.
I currently have a 1ghz bird doing 12 x 103 and two durons doing 9.5/9 X 104

My guess is that you are using a KT133 based motherboard like the Pro2A or a KT7. These boards are limited to under 110FSB. The newer KT133A based boards allow for the higher bus speeds. My Abit KT7A-RAID runs at a 150mhz FSB (300mhz DDR)..

Why is that? The board can go as high as 155FSB. Is it the chipset limitation?

Yes, it is a chipset limitation. The EV6 DDR bus of the Thunderbird/Athlons needs a very clean signal to operate at higher FSB's. When Via designed the KT133A for official support of the 133(266)FSB Athlons, they apparently adressed this issue...

Oh I see, I didn't realize that. I guess I should have read up a bit mroe before rushing out to buy my board. Oh well I still love my Pro2A, and life at 1236mhz isn't to shabby. Thanks for the information Insane3d
