Overclocking a socket 754 3400+ NC

I want to get into overclocking my CPU. I have a good board for it, my CPU has been seen getting up to 2.7 or so on air, and my memory is decent for a good OC.

My only concern is, if you wanted your computer to last, would you overclock it with the temps i'm getting? I think they may be off (this is through bios and though the program i got with my mobo, and i didnt flash the bios or anything since i bought it), but it still gives me a little bit of concern.

Thanks!

After a cold boot, reboot and check your temps again. I find my NF3 250GB motherboard consistently reports lower (and more accurate) temps after a warm boot. Your temps may actually be lower than what you say in your post.
