Being a poor college student, I dont know if I have the money to get a new processor. Is it worth my while to thry and overclock it to get the maxium performance out of it?

You could get 337 mhz out of it (i did out of mine)
All you have to do is set the multiplier to 4.5 and use soft fsb to set the fsb to 75. Or if your mobo has a 5.0 multiplier just set it to that.
You can just use a 8" desktop fan to cool it down.

Those puppy's make a LOT of heat. If you had to add a heatsink (and you might) it wouldn't be worth the cost of doing it. Make sure you add some thermal grease. What M/B or chipset? LX,BX,etc? Does it support 100Mhz? If possible up the bus speed to 75. That will give you the more improvement over changing the multiplier but the multiplier might be easier.
