hey my rig :

gigabyte ga-8sr533 sis645 chipset
p4 2.0A B0 Stepping
256mb pc2100 samsung
sapphire radeon 8500le 128mb

im at 126fsb max stable 5 months... thats 2.52
memory @ 378mhz ( yeh its for real! )
its on the default voltage cuz my mobo doesnt support voltage adjustment
i thought about buying a new mobo
the 8sinxp1394 is on my mind

do u say i should buy the new mobo?
i want to know how much can i gain from voltage
i want to get to 1.65 not past the 1.7 ( due the snds )
not exactly just an assumption

im now with stock cooling
temps :
idle - 27-29
full load - 45-47

of course if ill buy the new mobo ill get the ax478 with 80m"m delta :D

i just want to know if its worth it
its alot to get with default voltage on a b0 stepping?

thx :D

If it's just for a few Mhz you shouldn't buy a new mobo...

You are already running the cpu at a good speed ( considering the Vcore and mem 2100 ),
maybe with a new mobo you could get to 133-140 FSB ( that's the average people are getting)...
With that stepping you shouln't get much more from that CPU.

I had mine running on a Asus P4S8X at 133@2666 with mem DDR333@200 but the vcore was a bit high.

Maybe you should wait a while and change the mobo and cpu at the same time... Or change that NW with a
2.4B C1 or one of those 2.4 at 100 FSB... They overclock well and you shouln't pay much for the exchange.

Dunno if i answered what you asked ;)

thx
its not exactly buying a new one
one of my ide slots has gone and i need to replace my mobo
i got warranty but my mobo is no longer produced so ill try to get the sinxp by adding few bucks :D
my mobo is *hit
have u ever seen a new mobo without temps and voltages monitoring? thats my mobo
no voltages , temps monitoring
no voltages adjusting
nothing!

i think ill add some money and get the sinxp
140fsb is very good
maybe i would get higher
im aming to 3 :D

i dunno if you are gonna get much farther than what you have now....thats already pretty damn high for a 2.0a..i think
newyas, if you rma it, they might send you another board of equal or greater value (happens at times when the current is no longer n production or if they dont have it in stock)
