Overclocking a GPU

I used to use ATI tool to overclock my video card core speed and memory speed by 60-70 mhz... But I don't remember much about doing it, and I was wondering how risky it is to do. I have an X800 Pro, and a very powerful GPU heatsink and fan.

Can someone just clarify on how risky it is to use ATI Tool to boost the speed?
