How I can overclock my gateway g6-400 November 1998 system. There are no jumpers on my motherboard and my BIOS software won't let me adjust anything, what do I do?
I have a 200 watt power supply and an asus 7700 deluxe agp card a 120 mm fan blowing in the front, 2- 80 mm blowing out the back and an alpha 1ho dual fan heat sink on my p2 secc 1 processor, w/256 Mb ram. please help

Yikes no jumpers at all???

I was able to overclock my Gx-200 PPro system from gateway... well up from 200 to 233 anyhow... that is one hot running system too... even at default speed.. 100+ F!
strapped a big honking 80mm fan on the rather large stock heatsink and got it down to 95F idle.

You can't overclock it because the motherboard BIOS has no adjustable settings. The only way would be to replace the board. You might as well do a CPU upgrade if you're going to go to that trouble. PII 400's often don't overclock very well anyhow.
