Hey - I've been reading in another thread (nice to see a baord where folks know what they are talking about!) about overclocking the DELL 6800 GTo's....

Do you basically turn it into a regular GT, or into an ultra? What are the differences, the potnetials? Are people pretty lucky with it, and is there a thread I should check?

I'm curious what my odds might be of turning one into something useful... :) Thanks!

To the original question:

I have the same card.

Down load the coolbits registry file (search Google fo it). This will enable the overclocking tab in teh Nvidia driver. Don;t expect much to overclock the 6600GT very much - You'll probably be able to get the core at 550 MHz, and the memory to 1050 Mhz, like mine. I get artifats if I put the memory at 1100Mhz, or the core at 575 Mhz.
