Overclocking a 1.2ghz thunderbird with Abit KT7aRAID?

i have this new setup: 1.2ghz thunderbird with Abit KT7aRAID with 256mb pc133 ram. Will it be possible to overclock this? Ive overclocked all my previous puters just fine (300a celly @ 503mhz, P3600e @ 744mhz)

But this time its diffrent... im kinda afraid to do it with this new setup! I guess maybe its cuz im a AMD virgin? 🙂 I overclocked both intel processors without giving it a single thought but somehow, now i feel i need to be really cautious.

What settings should i try first and how hot can it get before its on the verge of overheating?

EDIT: Ok i went into the bios and saw that i could only change it to 12x and its running at 1300 instead of 1200, thats it.

I think this means my cpu is locked and can do no further settings to it. Thats a bummer.

The VIA temp monitor is what im worried about. Its showing that my cpu is at 46C and that overheating will happen at 50C... yikes. How accurate is this temp monitor software from VIA that comes with the KT7A RAID Mboard?

did you check your CPU
some of the 1.2 GHZ are unlocked.
see if your L1 on the CPU are connected or not
if they are then you should have no problem getting up to 133MHZ depending if you have good
memory and if your devices are compatible with everything else
