Overclocking 8irxp with RAID

Has anyone successfully overclocked their 8irxp mobo with the raid setup as opposed to IDE. I've tried, but as soon as it tries to detect the drives, it locks up. Feedback appreciated, thanks.
 
I have a 1.8a o/c to 2.58ghz on the 8irxp { I dont have any cold boot problems}, I dont have raid as I have only one 60 gig maxtorplus liquid 7200rpm HDD, however I am using the Promise controller to run it at ATA 133 , i'm plugged into ide #3. 🙂
