I need some help to get the 805 beyond 3ghz. I returned 2gb of some 667mhz DDR2 ram thinking it was the problem. I just tried some higher quality OCZ 800MHZ ddr2, but it only runs at 400mhz. Is the motherboard limiting the overclocking, AOpen i945Pa-PLF? Should I get a motherboard that uses DDR instead of DDR2? Any help would be appreciated before I return the new memory. Thanks.

Have you tried adding a little bit of voltage? Also, AOpen boards arent known for their OC ability

Yes, it would not boot, and then the motherboard would reset to to the stock voltage settings. There are four settings for the memory, auto, 400, 553, and 667, it seems that it will only run at 400 mhz.

This looks like the problem to me. Try setting the FSB ratio to 1:1.

Thanks for the feedback. I didn't see any setting in the BIOS that would allow me to change the FSB ratio. Any idea where it would if I even have that ability with this motherboard?
