Overclocking 4800+

I have a Amd X2 4800+ with a 7800 GTX video card and a gigabyte GA-K8NXP-SLI mother board. I got it overclocked to 2.6 but I would like to go up higher to maybe 2.9 or 3. I have heard of this being done but I cannot figure out the currect settings to do so. Does anyone know what memory timings and other settings I need to overclock my cpu even more?

it might happen, and it might not. Most likely the latter. Most people seem to hit a wall around 2.6-2.7Ghz. One thing you do need, is a very effective cooling.

From what I have read it appears most going over 2.7 are using watercooling as the preferred choice. Like Biostud says you'll need very effective cooling so you'll need to plan carefully.
