Do you keep your system Overclocked...

Also, while I have your attention... should I run my CPU for a few days before attempting an overclock?

Primarily interested in P4 data.

(I Plan on getting TH7II and 1.8A)

i sure do

i dont know if that greatly cuts the lifespan...if it does maybe ill think twice about my overclock! but for now, i havnt heard that, so 24/7 for me

I used to overclock 24/7 but Serious Sam 2 refused to run so I knocked my system back to stock speed, plenty fast enough.

If my cpu lasts for half of the expected life cause I overclocked, then that's good enough for me cause I probably won't be using it for more than 2-3 years anyway. Leave it overclocked 24/7 unless you need to change it back cause of something not working right.

You don't need to leave it running stock before attempting an overclock, but I generally like to let it "burn-in" for at least 24-48hrs. If there's something going to go wrong, that's when I will notice it probably and then I slowly up the overclock til I find something either freeze or look strange.

Don`t bother with OC anymore I got bored with it,(I must be getting old 😉) anyway I prefer case modding which I find more fun.

🙂
