Overclocken Geforce

I was playen with the overclocken utility on my Elsa Geforce 2 and I really couldnt see any improvement over the stock settings. I mainly play Counterstrike so I really don't care what a benchmark program will tell me. What I want to see is a increase in fps and overall speed in the game.

Anybody have any inputs on this subject?

I use 3Dmark2000 for overclocking results that way I can see how much increase over the default settings.

🙂

Half life is a little older and will only get SO fast. 3DMark is great and all, but I fear too many people strive for a number all to often in lieu of other things. Do you really notice 200points on 3dmark? Not really.

I have a 1GHz P3 with a 64MB GF GTS2 DDR. First I took Memory clock from 333 to 400 and saw a 3fps increase in Q3 demo001. Then I boosted Core clock from 200 to 225, which brought another 1.5fps for a total of 4.5fps all at 1024X768. Oh well.
