Overclocked T-Bird 900 to 1030, now its slower?

I unlocked my T-bird 900 with the permatex window deffoger kit and upped the multplier to 10 and the FSB to 103. NOw when I play UT, it is much choppier than before? What happened? I also raised the volts to 1.85. The temps are good, being 32°C CPU and 26°C case with a few things running, and about 42°C cpu and 30°C case after playing UT for a while.

Any suggestions?

are you sure the CPU actually unlocked? ( im no expert it just seems that might be the problem)

What kind of video card do you have, and what is your machine posting at?

When I boot the computer up, it says 10x103, so im sure that it did unlock corectly. My MBM5 also agrees, saying 1030.

Is that what you mean by post?

I have a Creative labs Geforce2 32MB DDR if that helps.

I was playing UT again today, and it seems to be back to normal. I dont know what the problem was. I wonder if it was a wierd winME thing?
