Overclocked performance comparison: Celeron 566 vs. Pentium 700E

as title, any website out there ever did a head to head performance comparison for these two CPU "after" overclocked?? (say, Celeron 566 to 850mhz, and Pentium 700E to 9??mhz)??

I want to compare their average juicy level (that is, the buck/bang ratio). 🙂

p.s. FYI: Celeron 566 average price: US$105,
Pentium 700E average price: US$215 (?)

Thanks!

Even overclocked, the celII gives up about 100mhz to the PIII. This is a rough rule of thumb, but one I have tested myself on the same rig with a number of different speeds for each chip. A 700pIII@750=566c2@850 and so on. Bang for the buck still seems to favor the CII, but the PIII will often be faster.

It will be more interesting if someone could provide some test data about dual Celeron/Pentium performance. Something like a table would be great. Some combo comparison such as:

Abit BE6-II with a 700E oc
(fill your motherboard name here) with a 700E oc
Tyan Tiger 100 (US$69 from overstock) + 700E x 2
Tyan Tiger 100 + 500E x 2
Tyan Tiger 100 + Celeron 366 x 2
and then maybe use
Abit BH6 + Celeron 300a oc to 450mhz as "base" for comparison...

Would someone interested in doing such a ultimate performance test? Even just MIPS data would be great!! Thanks! 🙂
