Overclocked PC showing artifacts...

Hi

I get a few small lines when I move the icons of the desktop and place them elsewhere. They are relative to the way I move the icons. Those small minor lines are few and only a part of the screen, widely separated and disappear on clicking refresh from right click of mouse options.

This happens even after I am on stock now.

the same happens to my other machine with a sempron that has never been overclocked.

Can anybody try moving his dektop icons, many of them together to a distance and tell me what happens.

Actually, if your CPU is overclocked to the knife edge of being able to boot, it may cause some artifacts on the screen. When I tried to boot my CPU at 2.92 GHz on stock voltage, it would boot the BIOS but the screen would have many black dots on it. My video card and RAM were at stock speeds when I tried that...

I don't get any sort of problem of that sort.

The problem is same with my unoverclocked sempron using onbaord video as well.

Can you try this, just move many icons on your dektop and see if you get small lines around those places.
