Overclocked my Geforce 5900 non ultra..

I OC'ed it and used the auto-oc method in the nvidia utility (coolbits on)
Now my explorer crashes every so often (Ie the task bar goes away and comes back after the crash)

I'm not sure if that did it because I wasn't running any video games or anythign that would stress the GPU. I was encoding something into divx at the time which meant more load on the CPU but my CPU is not overclocked.

Do you guys think that an oc'ed GPU could make explorer crash?

In the coolbits overcloking page on the nvidia driver I dont think there is an option to choose when to o/c it..you just do or dont.

Stock I was running 300mhz and 700mhz ram. With the auto-oc setting it went to 400/700

I would first set it back to default then delete the cool bits registry key. Reboot.
