Just decided to mess around with overclocking it a bit and went to 212fsb then to 220 just for the hell of it with 1.6 volts and when I tried that it wouldnt boot. I thought with this new mobo it would automatically reset on a failure but it wont boot now. I have powered it off several times hoping the next power on will make it reset but nothing. Manual has bios resets but that required it to boot to bios. I get nothing no beeps just a blank screen and lights indicating power is on etc. This shouldnt be this difficult. thank for your help

Maybe I should just pull the mobo battery and the power cord and let it sit a few hours and that will clear the bios settings to default. Can't believe it wont automatically reset or there is not a jumper for it in case of a no boot. Still waiting on another solutions thanks.

Well I fixed it by pulling the battery and booting leaving it out then put it back etc.

There's a jumper for that. It's the CMOS jumper which is located under all the PCI slots. It's labeled JBAT1 and instructions for it are on page 2-24 in the manual. You just have to power off and move the jumper to clear data position, then move back to keep data.

It'll reset all the BIOS settings, and you'll be back to normal.

And unfortunately MSI placed the CMOS jumper in the most idiotic spot in on the entire motherboard. It sits just above the floor of the case on the most bottom end of the MB,right under the last PCI slot.
And that's the slot that's favored for add-on soundcards.
So everytime I need to reset,I have to remove my soundcard and the diagnostic lights/joystick port bracket as well just to be able to get at the damn CMOS jumper!
I was quite dismayed that MSI doesn't have a dual boot bios like some other manufacturers have.Seems rather idiotic it's not a standard nowadays on any motherboard, but especially on an overclockers type MB.
I'm rounding up a posse to go get the guy that designed the MB.Sign up here:

You can't just hold down the insert key while powering up on that board eh?

thanks I guess I missed the cmos thing when looking for the word bios instead. yeah, the battery is behind the 3rd pci slot from the bottom to so I had to remove my phone modem. I am going to upgrade and go dual PCI express for SLI with two Nvidea cards late next year anyhow. Won't have this motherboard for more than a year most likely. Pretty happy with it though overall.

Same thing happened to me on my Asus AV8. In my case, I upped the multiplier to 13.5 (13.5 x 200) = 2700 at stock voltage of 1.55 and the machine wouldn't boot. Had to power everything off, remove my video and sound card, remove the battery, do the jumper for 5 seconds, then put it all back. What a pain in the butt.
Now I use Clockgen which doesn't save the bios. If the MB hangs, you can reboot and be back where you were.
Your Vcore voltage was probably too low. Try installing Clockgen, set up the icons on your desktop so you can run it in Ghost mode, and then try your Vcore at 1.7. When I use the "Auto" OC feature on my AV8, it OCs the MB by 10% (20FSB) and raises the Vcore to 1.70.
