Hey yall, thanks for taking my thread help. I appreciate it.

Ok through nvidia panel I OCed my 1920res 80hz ...... Only thing is when I play FPS games it its jumpy, or jittery and very slow.

Im also using DSR, have tried without it too.

I mean it works so whats the reason for the jumpy jittery slow.

I would get a cheap 1080p144hz. It is so worth it. I wish I got the Alienware 1080p240hz it was $250 last week.

1080p144hz often drops below $200 and as low as $150.

Your current monitor may be ok at 72hz.

Clearly it isn't working if its jittery. Have you OC your GPU to where it doesn't crash, but there it shows pixels and noise? Same thing for your monitor. I'd think if its actually working and having picture at 80hz, you might have good stability at around 70hz.

Yeah most of the 1080p60 monitors I have owned topped out around 68-72hz. My friend's 75hz monitor overclocks to.... 75hz. 🙁

If you live in USA, Best Buy has a factory refurbished 144hz for $170. I bought a few factory refurbished monitors from them and they all looked brand new. Free shipping!

Thank you for your response...Yes Monitor says its 80hz. I mean its butter smooth at 60hz ,, but 80hz or 60 and higher its like I have a Riva TNT or something lol Its truley a disaster.

Ya dude I dropped the ball. Thanks much 144hz sounds juicey.

Oh actually the jitter and nasty slow down effect happen at 61hz and beyond. Weird..
Just means your monitor can't be overclocked without dropping frames, to be honest this is my experience with most 60hz panels. Of all the panels i've personally owned, none have been stable beyond 62 or 63hz which isn't worth the difference from 60hz to be worthwhile.

I've personally got a 1440p 144hz VA panel on order though, so I wont have to be concerned about that anymore once that gets delivered.

Ah, that is just like my friend's 75hz. no overclockability. He has a 144hz monitor on the way too.

Good luck on everyone's 144hz dream 🙂

Every fullhd panel that I've owned has worked perfectly at 75Hz. I'd say that majority will work. 16:10 displays almost never do though.
