Overclocked CPU Energy Consumption

If I am able to overclock an i7 6700k and an i5 6600k both to 4.6 GHz, how would the energy consumption compare?

Depends on the workload, but in multithreaded scenarios, the 6700k will run a little hotter assuming an identical bin quality and assuming you leave HT active. Leakage can vary from chip to chip, so no two processors will use power in quite the same fashion when overclocked.

it will largely come down to luck of the draw with which requires the least v to hit 4.6ghz
