All I can say is we sell graphics cards so we get advanced pricing. We actually got the prices sooner, I just never bothered opening the pricelist until yesterday.

If that is the case, the 290X should likely fall in at $549 since the launch of the 7970 and 7950 were $549 and $449 respectively...
