I know the title seems kind of cryptic, but here goes.

System:
Asus A7V8X-X, 2500+ Barton (locked), 512 PC2700 Kingston Value Ram

This mobo has an option to choose 2200 MHz (3200+ speed)as the CPU speed. When I first did this about 6 months ago, Windows, CPU-Z and WCPUID all read the processor as a 2500+, even though the FSB was shown as 200. I've been running it at 2500+ speed ever since. Today, just for fun, I selected 3200+ speed, and all of a sudden all three see it as a 3200+. I haven't got new versions of either CPU-Z or WCPUID. I'm glad that it's finally showing up as a 3200+, but why it does now when it didn't before has me completely baffled. Does anyone have any idea as to why this is?

Thanks in advance for any help.
