is there any possible way to overclock your cpu without going into your bios settings ? i have a dell pc and the bios is locked and i was hoping to overclock my pentium D which is currently 2.66ghz.since im using a 9800 GT video card, and i could possibly get more performance with overclock

another thing, i have that program called Ntune, i can overclock my graphics card if i wanted to ,thats all good, now theres this thing called tune system. fine tuning and all that. it says its supposed to push my system to its limits, voltages n everything. is that something that could overclock my cpu as well ?

Well it seems you are using a Pentium D 805. Those were overclocking beast back in the day. The only way I think it is possible would be a BSEL Mod but that would depend on if your chip is able to boot at a 800MHz FSB which most Pentium D 805s couldnt.

The next best step would be to purchase a cheap motherboard. You can easily pick up an older motherboard based on a P965 motherboard on the FS/FT section for under $40.

Also, Ntune can only overclock a CPU if you are using an Nforce Motherboard, which there wasnt many for LGA775 when the Pentium Ds were around. The only ones I could think of were the Nforce 4 boards.
