overclock with higher multi or higher fsb?

is there any difference in overclocking using a higher multi with lower fsb and using lower multi and higher fsb?and which is a better way to overclock?
 
It's best to overclock to whatever gets you most performance, and this varies depending on what hardware you have and exactly how well your individual hardware overclocks. So this just means running a few benchmarks, games, or applications and see what gives you better results. Finding the optimal overclock is a tedious process.
 
Have a look at some of AT's recent CPU and Motherboard reviews- especially those dedicated to explaining TrD. Generally, best to keep a higher multiplier and FSB in the 400 range.
 
assuming your multiplier is unlocked (meaning you can actually change it. in most CPU's you can't raise it above the default), then a high muliplier is better. this is because the FSB affects a lot more then just the cpu. it can cause problems if your ram can't keep up.

if you can, a high multiplier is better.
 
so far i am having cpu fsb bring slower than the ram as my rams are able to run at 1200mhz.and i am using a board with x48chipset with 1600fsb at default.so i dun think the mobo and the rams are giving me problems at the moment.
i have read a lot of posts on other forums saying that having higher fsb increase the performace more as compared to having higher multiplier..
was hoping to find if this is true.🙂
