Just grabbed a Core2 1.8 and when ever I go into the BIOS to bump up the FSB and restart the PC the settings I have made automatically get disabled.

I never had a problem like this overclocking my old AMD, anything I do not know? TIA

everything is disabled that should be, but for somereason have it boots into windows its back to normal clocks.

Also sometimes the computer just turns on and nothing happens the screen stays black. Seems to be random b/c I can have no settings changed and it will happen. The cpu is not to far clocks b/c its only up 10-20 clocks.

EDIT: it just started trying to boot from the CD/dvd drive. It seems like it skiped the Harddive.

The DS3 can be a real bitch to overclock. It has some kind of overclocking protection feature which is supposed to protect you against an unsafe overclock. the problem I had was that it would reset my BIOS overclock settings randomly and regardless fo what changes I made, safe or not. Eventually I got frustrated and RMA'ed mine. Now I'm happy with a P5B-D.
