I am new in the overclocking business and very interested...
Recently I just build a system with 1.1ghz thunderbird cpu and abit kt7-raid motherboard.... I used modified heatsink and fans to cool the cpu and 2 80mm intake fans and 2 80mm exhoust fans + 1 power supply fan. I change the bus speed to 105 and multiplier to 11.
The pci bus speed is 35 and the memory bus speed is 105+35=140.
I tested this configuration by running burn in wizard from SANDRA, and it works just fine. The cpu temp is around 38-40 idle and run up to 54 after a few hours of running sandra benchmark. I am affraid that I will fry this cpu, What kind of temperature is considered hot and unsafe for this processor?? Anybody have better advise on how to overclock this processor?? Any suggestion on heatsink too??

Thanks

54C is OK for that T bird .
As for overclocking ,you need to connect the contacts on the cpu to unlock the mulitpliers (search for the Athlon overclocking guide in Anands site),then you can choose a higher 1 ,don't expect it to overclock much more though.
A good heatsink for your cpu is a Globalwin FOP 32 ,check it out here for more info.
