Ok, my specs are in my sig.

I overclocked to 2.3Ghz(10x230) at 1:1 2.5v. Now that is the lowest setting for ram, but it worked just fine. I passed all the tests. So now that I figured my ram was stable, I booted up and ran Prime 95. Prior to memtest, I ran Prime 95 at 1.55v and was stable only for 30 minutes and 40 on 1.575. I ran Prime95 right after the memtest, and failed after 1 second on both 1.55 and 1.575v with HTTx3.

Why did I fail so quickly, was it because my ram was tested so ardently? Does it have to cool down?

I upped ram voltage to 2.7, the max, and no luck. Then I increased the cpu voltage gradually to 1.65, but no luck either. I am going to try 9x250 at least, not quite what I was looking for, but it'll do. Also, I failed the 10% overclock at 10X220 HTTx4. I tried all possible voltage combinations, but I still failed Prime95.

Also, which specific test do I have to run? I always ran the torture test that tested a lot of ram.

Oh yeah, the Clawhammer is CG stepping, so my memory controller is not at fault.

I think that if your system (ie ram) can run @ 9x250, you'll get even better performance than 2.3 GHz at 10x230. What's your power supply?

450 Antec.

Could anyone post a link for clockgen? I can't find a working one.

Ok, 9x250 won't post on a 400Mhz divider. At 333 it does, but I isn't this going to slow down my overall performance?

Edit: 9X250 at 333 failed after less than a minute in Prime95.
333divider:
1.55v-1.625v less than 1 minutes before failing Prime95
1.65v 1.1 minutes before crash.
I'll try a lower divider now.

change ur ram to 166mhz
change ur fsb to 250
change your cpu multi to 9
put ur vdimm at 2.7 or 2.8
change ur htt multiplier to 3

EDIT: if your mobo supports it up the chipset voltage to 1.7

I've tried that already, didn't work either. Tried every divider with every possible voltage combo. I think it is time for some RMAing.

166 divider gave me worst results so far, and going down to 100 would be the worst. That is, 333 and 200 in ddr terms respectively.

Yes, I found the problem. The Antec PSU was a piece of crap. I exchanged it with the cheapo that came with my case and now it's stable at 250x9 2.7v ram and stock cpu voltage.

Hard to believe but I suppose anything is possible...screenshots perhaps?

Still failed Prime after 4 hours, but a major improvement. I'm sure I can get better results with increased cpu voltage. As for the Antec, it was used in an XP system before I got it, so I'll be getting a new one soon. Any recomendations? Would a 350 do justice?
