Overclock successful

With my motherboard I can't up the multiplier past 8, so I changed the CPU Frequency to 400 to achieve 3.2ghz overclock from 2.6ghz stock speeds. In the bios I left the Voltage setting to AUTO and according to CPU-Z my voltage is at 1.328v.

Here is a link to my temps along with CPU-Z info:

Things seem to be going smoothly as I am stress testing with Orthos right now, but how do the temps look? Both Speedfan and Core Temp show both of my cores at around 43-44deg celsius. Is that pretty normal? Does this mean that I could probably overclock a little higher and get away with it or should I just be happy. :)

Another thing is the memory timings.

I was told to set my ram to 2 in the bios for a 1:1 ratio, but aren't my timings a little high at 5-5-5-18 at 400mhz? The thing is, with my bios I didn't even see where I could actually set the timings. It just had something like "Option 1" and "Option 2" or some sorts. Also the memory is running at 2T. Shouldn't this be at 1T?

I'd appreicate your input and comments....thanks for all your help guys.

Edit: I also noticed from the cpu-z readout that it shows:

Core Speed: 3200.0 MHz
Multiplier: x8.0
Bus Speed: 400.0 MHz
Rated FSB: 1600.0 MHz ???????????

Is it supposed to be like that?

Something also kinda strange.

My Core temps while idle are both at 20deg celsius. This is while I'm overclocked to 3.2ghz. Granted I have the air conditioning on but I mean damn. Not that I'm complaining or anything.

Nice check your ambients but I think it is that the temp monitor you are using is measuring the temps 15C to low but you could probably push your cpu to 3.4ghz with that mobo.

But I'm using both Core Temp and Speedfan and they both read about the same as far as core temperatures.

What I was saying is with air you can't get under the ambient temp so if my calcs were right then your ambients would be under 68F. What I mean by coretemp and speedfan being off is they do the math from the T-junction being 85C so they find out how far the cpu is away from throttling(T-junction= throttling point) andsubtract it from the T-junction. This gives them the temp. So with the T-junction of 100C their temps would need to be higher by 15C(although I have hear they fixed that in coretemp 0.95)

If I brought the CPU Frequency up to 425 x 8 to get 3.4ghz overclock, what do I need to set my system memory multiplier to? I had it set at 2, which makes it run at 425mhz at 1:1, but the timings are now 5-6-6-20.

The bios doesn't let me change the actual timings, just the memory multiplier. What should I set it to?

hit cntl F1 for advanced bios options.

download the latest version of coretemp ( .95.4), it correctly shows tjunction as 100c and now shows correct temps.

Appreciate it my friend. I set my ram timings to 4-4-4-12 at 1.98 voltage, and my cpu is overclocked to 3.2ghz at 1.30 voltage.

My idle temps using that .95.4 coretemp is now 33deg celsius...seems alot more accurate. Do you think that is too hot for idling temps?
