I was expecting to see at least a few sentences in the body of the post, such as Mobo/cooler/memory info.
I overclocked my Celery 300A (the one with L2 cache) to 450, it worked absolutely flawlessly, thanks to the L2 cache running at half the speed of the clock.
I did it with stock cooler, back then they were very quiet 🙂
I simply jumped the FSB (wait, it wasn't called FSB back then) from 66 MHz to 100 MHz. It worked, I didn't even have to play with the multiplier. I had an Abit motherboard with Soft menu so I didn't have to touch a single jumper.
Didn't do ANY memory tweaking - just bumped it from 66 MHz to 100 MHz...
