Currently run at stock settings due to no BIOS setup having a successful Boot. I did use Easytune 6, within Windows Vista (64), and ran the system stable at 140 (133 default) for a few hours. Didn't use any stress test just hit Crysis real hard and a few other games. Any help or advice is welcomed.

Thanks for your time.

As i said.. every jump in BIOS results in a failed boot up.. even the smallest increase.

Oh well something is wrong then. Have you updated the BIOS? You're using an i7 950 which is new. Maybe the bios needs an update to recognize it.

You've got the same CPU and MB as me. I found that I had to update to F7 as well. F5 (or was it F4??) was useless.

What o/c are you aiming for and what cooling are you using?

Once you get a successful o/c, would it be possible to post your BIOS settings?

Cheers.

Edit: You've also got the same GPU. Great minds think alike :D

Time will tell =D

How you getting on with your O/C, Bullmecha?

I've now got my new RAM installed so I'm going to have a stab at over-clocking this sucker myself tomorrow.

I'll let you know how it goes (and post BIOS settings if its stable).

Running at Base Clock 140mhz, with the Memory EMP profile loaded. So far so good but i think Temps are going to be a problem. Looking into doing a Water cooling system, but i am researching it as i am new to doing it.

Just a small update.. Running the Win7 RC I had to reset my clock to base 133.. WIN didn't like it. Ramped it again yesterday and so far WIN has accepted the marginal OC at 140.
Still looking into a WC system for this thing but still up to my neck in reading about it. Anyone else out there got this setup non-WC ? If so let me know what your settings are, I'd like to see how this thing will handle.
