Ive seen people overclock S939 cpus by using dividers. Would using a divider give the same overclocking benefits for S754 as it does for S939?

I'm running a 3400NC on a DFI 250Gb with a XP90 just like you. I had a gig of Mushkin 3500 LII in it and couldn't get it to clock up that well. Put in a set of OCZ 3500 ELGX and have it running at 2.7 with my ram at 1:1 2-2-2-5. I had to use a divider with the Mushkin to get the clock speed up. From what I've read on DFI Street.com, it's better to use a ram divider and get a higher cpu speed with the A64's. Might want to go there and check it out. Btw, I had this up over 2.9 but it wasn't stable. Couldn't quite get 3.0 though. lol

What settings do you have your system oc at? I'm currently at 220x12 @ 1.6v with my ram 1:1 at 2.5cas. I have a similar setup except my memory is corsair valueram. I'm trying to hit 2.7GHz also, but I can't seem to get it stable any higher then 2640MHz. I'm just lacking the extra 60MHz.

In short, yes. Dividers work just as well on s754 as they do on s939.

As others said, yes. Good luck on your CPU. I had one and could hit 2.5GHz fine with some voltage but wouldn't do much above that, just like my other Newcastle. Both default 1.8GHz and 2.4GHz CPUs hit around 2.5GHz.
