9 times out of 10 when I'm having trouble sleeping, it's because I need more exercise. A good workout the next day and I'm sleeping like a baby that night.

Not saying this will help your problem, but that's what works for me,

- Tylenol PM
- Excedrin PM
- Sominex
- Unisom
- Generic storebrand sleepaids

All of the following should help you sleep at the side effect of morning drowsiness.

A good herbal substitute is Valerian root. Take some extract, down some capsules, or drink Valerian Root Tea. It smells like ass but works.
Also you can try melatonin, it's a lot more gentle.

If you have any doctor friends, get a sample of Ambien, which works well, Vicodin (pain reliever, additive, but works), Valium, or Neurontin (anti-seizure med). Use those as a last resort though. It's some potent stuff.

Try:
Diphenhydramine HCL (Benedryl, Unisome Sleep Gels, etc...)
or
doxylamine succinate (Unisome Tablets, Somnil, etc...)
or
Brompheniramine (Dimetapp,Nasahist B, etc...)

All are OTC anti-histamines which make some people sleepy

I would strongly advise against those last suggestions, even if they were provided with a disclaimer. They are (or at least a few of them) very habit-forming and in the end will only make the problem much worse. I took Vicodin after I got my wisdom teeth yanked and was in pure bliss for a while, but then for the next two weeks my sleeping was completely screwed up because I stopped taking it. You might as well try heroin. :p

Melatonin never worked for me. Haven't tried any of the others though, so I don't know how they are.

its not gona like put you to sleep instantly or make you almost pass out it just gives you that "i feel tired i needa get to sleep" feeling
so if you try and go to sleep its easier... (least thats my experience)
