So the gun lobby is no longer concerned about gun rights, but they've amassed a nice tidy war chest and are putting it to use ahead of 2018 and 2020. Can't let liberals accomplish anything.

So I actually took the time to read the article and to quote the words of a younger generation...."I literally can't even...."

There isn't a trout big enough to slap the ever loving stupidity out these idiots.

That's just what Elizabeth Warren wants you to believe!

Hahaha so simple but so true

Now to be fair, I heard on local news this morning the gun group is concerned because current amplifiers are sold with minimal regulation provided they do not mention they can be used as hearing aids. The concern is a new category of OTC hearing aides will be created and these will have regulations attached to them because they are a health product. The gun groups fear the hunting amplifiers will get put into this category and prices will increase. Apparently some people with hearing loss buy the hunting products to save money.
So it's not as crazy as it first sounded but
A) The gun group is making some big assumptions
B) Elizabeth Warren

Gun groups making a big deal about this are morans. World doesn't revolve around you and your precious firearm.

Between the Portland killer and the Looney-Toon gun-nuts with their beef against Warren, I never realized there were so many delusional assholes in my country.

But wait. I've been de-sensitized. I've been forced to listen to the Master of All Assholes since late 2015. No -- since the Birther Frenzy. Since the Apprentice wasn't news, I simply chose not to watch it anymore. So it's a problem or conflict between being a responsible citizen with my own news-analysis, and looking out for my own health by avoiding reality altogether.

Maybe to avoid civil war, we might see the emergence of underground fight clubs, pitting Trumpies against regular human beings. Some days I wake up thinking that I'd like to beat one senseless and unrecognizable. The fight clubs should keep the guns out of the equation. Eventually, the outcomes would favor the smarter, even if they're lightweights.

Wait, can we use this as a backdoor to get constitutional protection to a sufficient education to cover physics up through ballistics and trigonometry? Because if so, I'm on board.

To me it sounds like the idea is that those are the OTC hearing aids, and so if they aren't actively dangerous (which they probably have to meet regardless), they'll be fine, and potentially able to reach a bigger market now that consumers can be reached directly rather than needing to know the euphemisms used. If they can't meet the OTC requirements, then one would assume that they remain amplifiers rather than OTC hearing aids and the world keeps turning.

Also, I freaking wish that being priced out of something was considered being denied access to it by these folks in other circumstances.

Well this is totally shocking and I, for one, could have never predicted that such a group was both so insular and so profoundly misguided.

Not when you consider the Freudian substitute for firearm.

edit: WOW!! That does explain the crazy found in the NRA now don't it!
