Yo

I have recently bought an axia 1ghz and was wondering what temperature range is safe...

It usually starts and holds on idle at 30 degrees C, and during 100% usage it hits 50 max...

The CPU runs at the same temp when i overclocked it to 1.2Ghz. I have an ABIT KT7A and a GlobalWinFOP38 (r0><0rs!)

I was wondering if that was normal....

Merci:confused:

Low 50s or under is fine.

Socket A readings are not very accurate anyway, and are usually much lower than actual core temperature, which ranges to 90C for a 1Ghz chip.

quite normal temps, as you can see in my sig i have a similar config and temps are higher due perhaps to a cheaper hsf and ambient temperature (never under 24-25 which in turn raises in-box temperature to 29-30-31ºc). Anyway real temps are for sure not the ones you are reading. your cheap could theoretically reach 95ºC as a maximum, so don't worry too much and look for stability, as long as your config is going to be enough for a free trial.
